Shipbuilding

inland waterway vessels

What’s the difference between a normal family and an inland shipper family? It’s simple. The normal family invests in a house, normally just once in a lifetime. The other family builds an inland waterway vessel - also the biggest investment of their life. But it’s vastly more expensive, more complicated, and has to do much, much more. That‘s because an inland waterway vessel is everything combined - house, company headquarters and source of livelihood. So it has to be correspondingly robust, well-designed and individual. From the plans down to the smallest build detail, it must be fully in accord with the needs and wishes of the owner. If you’re going to be on your ship day in and day out, you know best what you want. And you don’t want to be a guinea pig for extravagant designs or untested, futuristic propulsion systems. Pioneering ideas benefit us all, but for our clients the most important thing is dependable service and solid, long-lasting use. To me and my partners, providing this is more important than anything else. You have my word on it.

Steel constructions

Over the past few years, steel construction has established itself as the second core of our company. Numerous subcontractors with plants in Eastern Europe produce the highest quality parts and subdivisions of steel structures. These are then delivered directly to the construction sites of our customers across Europe. In addition, each of the steel building and machine building companies with which we work is equipped with a machine park that meets all current requirements. This allows a wide variety of machining operations:
■ Machining, CNC
■ CNC pipes and profiles machining
■ Autogenous cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting
■ Welding constructions
■ Metal coating, painting or galvanizing
■ etc.

QUALITY is most valuable to us: Therefore all companies have a certification according to the latest ISO standards and deliver CE certificates for their products. Our own construction supervision is automatically part of our range of services. For this, we are conducting a very close cooperation with the "classification and testing company Bureau Veritas" for additional construction supervision. Due to our excellent quality / price ratio, we have managed to deliver more than 1000 tons of steel construction per year.

Ship design

I’m a naval architect, not a ship broker. I build individual ships to order; each one is unique. This is the only way to meet the wishes of each customer. The traditions of European inland shipping are very important to me, so together with my partners I build a classic type of vessel whose basic design concept has proven its value for many years. Its slender lines bear the signature of Neckarsteinach ship designer Heinz Ebert. I have developed and improved on his design from ship to ship. The benefit of the ship’s lines can be calculated in Euros - the Neckarsteinach hull minimizes water resistance and saves energy. Its slightly lower load capacity is more than compensated by the fuel savings. It’s a savings that brings a profit.
