The construction of the Deep Tunnel Storm Water System in Dubai is a tunnel system to collect and convey groundwater and storm water runoff from the Dubai World Central area and adjacent communities.
The project consists of a 10km tunnel of 11m boring diameter, at 30-45m below ground.

We VOS Kaiser GmbH, are very proud to have completed and delivered all steel components for two elevator feet as well as two elevator heads for this large construction site. All assemblies were manufactured according to customer specifications and pre-assembled under our construction supervision in the factory. Subsequently, all steel components were painted and carefully numbered. All steel components were first transported to Constanta by truck with several 40 “containers after completion by our manufacturing partners from Romania, and then delivered by ship from the Constanta seaport to the Jebel Ali seaport, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

The elevators are assembled on site at the construction site. Two large tunnel boring machines are used for excavate the tunnel system. With the help of the two elevators stones and earth are transported out of the depths.
